This week has been another learning experience for me. I took part in my first ever blog swap via the Yakezie network. I was paired up with 101 Centavos. So my post for this blog swap, How To Raise A Millionaire, is posted over at his blog. Likewise, his post on this same subject, How To Exploit Your Children For Fun and Profit..., is posted on my blog. This has been a wonderful opportunity to get to know another blogger a little better by e-mailing back and forth throughout the week to coordinate this blog swap. I really enjoyed the process.
I was able to find some recent carnival’s that featured some of my posts, as well as other random ramblings that caught my attention this week. Hint: To better your chances of having a link to one of your posts in my random ramblings, you need to be on The Twitter. Most of the links I stumble upon are via Twitter links that catch my attention. Here is everything that caught my eye this week:
Carnivals
Carnival Of Financial Camaraderie #16 @ My University Money
Totally Money Blog Carnival #50 Martin Luther King Day Edition @ FamilyMoneyValues
Yakezie Carnival – Credit Cards Edition | Prairie Eco-Thrifter
Canadian Finance Carnival #71 – Canadian Finance Blog
Random Ramblings
As part of the Online Money Bloggers $30k Challenge, Jana fantasized about her site name, Daily Money Shot, being bought by an adult entertainment company.
The College Investor has some good advice for Keeping Hackers Out Of Your Online Bank Accounts.
As I continue to educate myself about the world of blogging, I wonder if I’ll ever end up hiring a virtual assistant to tackle some of my tasks. Melissa from Mom’s Plans is one of these and she explains, How to Make $1000 Per Month as a Virtual Assistant on the Grand Per Month site. On this same site is another great read entitled, Leverage Isn't Only About Money. Again, more great advice for a rookie blogger like myself.
Another Salary by Major Chart! (For 2011 Graduates) on DQYDJ.net. Apparently trucking didn’t qualify as a college major!
Financial Samurai featured another incredible piece called, Always Be The Underdog To Get Ahead.
Should Parents Pay for College? That is the question that was asked this week at Married with Debt
Call me crazy, but after reading about Financial Uproar’s masturbating money saving tip last week, then this week’s article about the pros of living in a small town, I have concluded that people who live in small towns masturbate a lot because they don’t have a lot of money to spend on dates!
Not sure if this is the reason why, but The Free Financial Advisor used a sexual keyword in the title of this post and got a record number of hits to their site. A true professional? Our Boner of the Week!
101 Centavos shares his “secret” to profiting on the backs of trailer park residents via one of the park owner’s publicly traded entities! Who would have thought!? Nickel-Plated Trailers: a Centavos Dividend Portfolio Update
As always, I wish everybody the best for this weekend. Check back soon for more random ramblings about personal finance and money!
